Robot Mercantile
We are building an independent Robotaxi network for the Carolinas, and we are building the ground before the vehicles arrive.
Our mission
Robot Mercantile exists to give people in the Carolinas a way to move without owning or driving a car. We are organizing the vehicles, the places that keep them running, and the partners who make a network real, so that when autonomous fleet vehicles become available, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington are first to put them to work.
Autonomy is arriving one metro at a time, and the metros that get it first will be the ones that are ready: sites with power, cleaning and service capacity, venues that know how to move a crowd, capital committed, and people in the room who have run fleets before. That readiness does not happen on its own. Our job is to build it, independently, and to hold the ground for the Carolinas.
What we believe
The commitments that decide how we work. They are written down so that partners, investors, and advisors can hold us to them.

The ground layer comes first
A Robotaxi network is won on hubs, power, and service capacity, not on the order form. We work on the ground before we own a vehicle, because the operator whose sites are ready is the operator who can put vehicles to work on day one.

First in line is earned
Being first is not a claim. It is a set of things that have actually happened: sites walked, agreements signed, advisors seated, capital committed. We describe our position by what is done, and we describe the rest as intent.

Say what we do not know
We do not know when fleet vehicles will be sold, on what terms, or how North Carolina will regulate driverless service. We say so plainly, on every page, because the people we want to work with will ask, and because the work is worth doing under any of the answers.

Independent by design
Robot Mercantile has no relationship with Tesla, Inc. today. We intend to purchase Cybercab vehicles when they are made available for fleet use, and we intend to be the kind of local operator a vehicle maker wants as a partner. We hold the ground; we do not pretend to hold the keys.

The Carolinas, specifically
Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington are three different cities with three different demand patterns. We are starting here because it is where we live and work, because these metros are growing, and because nobody has organized this layer for them. What we learn here is meant to transfer.

Safe, accessible, and a good neighbor
Sites designed for vehicles that move themselves. Pickup points that work for riders with mobility devices. Hubs that are quiet, clean, and screened, with traffic kept off residential streets. Charging that respects the grid. These are design requirements, not marketing.

Partners see the numbers
Property owners, venues, operators, and investors who work with us see the utilization, the wait times, and the problems of what they are part of. We report what happened, not what we hoped would happen.
How we work
Investors
Our customer is the investor who wants exposure to a Robotaxi network in the Carolinas without buying and managing vehicles. Conversations begin with the interest form and continue in person, under the rules described in the notice below.
Board of advisors
We are assembling a board with experience in fleet operations, EV charging and real estate, municipal and regulatory work, insurance, and capital markets. Advisors shape the plan before the vehicles arrive.
Partners
Owners of property, power, and service capacity; venues and event organizers; and people who want to own fleet vehicles. Three tracks, one network.
